Nick Christian, Founder
Hi, I'm Nick. I've spent over 20 years working at director level across pricing strategy, supply chain, operations, and financial analytics. I've lived and worked in the USA, China, Malta, Libya, and the UK, and along the way completed an MBA in International Finance and wrote a personal finance book that has been used to teach medical students at several universities.
My family and I have recently moved to Whakatane, and as I've gotten to know the local business community, I've been impressed by how many talented and dedicated people are building great businesses here. I saw an opportunity to contribute by bringing additional data, systems, and outside perspective to support that momentum and help businesses reach their next stage of growth.
That is why I started Beacon Advisory.
Background
My career has been built working inside businesses where performance mattered day to day. I have spent over 20 years leading pricing strategy, supply chain decisions, and financial analysis at director level, supporting teams where the work directly influenced margins, growth, and operational outcomes. The models I built were used to help run the business, not just report on it, and I have always enjoyed being close to the decisions that make a real difference.
I have had the opportunity to do this across multiple countries and industries, working alongside a wide range of teams and leadership styles. What has stayed consistent is a practical focus on understanding what drives performance, putting the right systems in place, and helping people make confident, informed decisions.
Outside of that, I have built automated trading systems using AI, managed and scaled rental properties, and published a personal finance book that has been adopted within university programs. These experiences reflect how I like to work. I enjoy learning, building, and finding simple, practical ways to solve real problems.
